Today we’d like to introduce you to Shernitha Martin.
Shernitha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. Several years ago I started on a weight loss journey due to becoming diabetic. I was on two high blood pressure pills, diabetic, cholesterol meds and knew that my goal was to get off of them. I took control of my life started watching my carbs and working out, now I have lost 85lbs. I was already a licensed esthetician/makeup artist for 12years and in 2018 decided to get certified as a body contouring specialist to add to my business. Jumping forward to 2019, I started looking into life coaching for 6months and in December that year GOD was pushing me to do it. In my mind, I was thinking how am I going to do the beauty, body contouring and life coaching. He basically said to combine all of it under one brand. I always knew my purpose in life was to make people look good as well as feel good by inspiring and uplifting others. I found a life coaching class took it and was certified in January 2020. I decided to officially brand my business (Life/Health & Wellness/Beauty Coach) under my name Shernitha LLC.
I’m looking forward to my future, boldly walking in my purpose and doing BIG things.
Has it been a smooth road? The road started being smooth when I stepped outside my comfort zone and pushed myself to grow more. The advice that I have for other women is to not allow fear to get in your way or listen to that negative voice in your head or negative people. This is your life so dream big and crush your goals.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of. As a Life/Health & Wellness/Beauty Coach my specialty is health and wellness. I am a true example that the struggle may be real but so were my goals to get to where I am today. I want to motivate and help others overcome obstacles and reach their goal(s). I’m very proud that with my brand, I am able to incorporate all of my talents and skills under it. Licensed Esthetician, Makeup & Semi-Permanent Brow Artist, Lash Tech, Body Contouring Specialist and now Life Coach.
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success? I’m the oldest child so you get used to taking on more challenges and being there for your siblings, helping them find their way as well as advising them.
